Chris Akers, State Demography Office in the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA)
Chris produces employment estimates and a long-term job forecast for Colorado and its counties. He works with local governments and other stakeholders to help them understand economics through demographic data and forecasts. Prior to joining DOLA, he worked ten years with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) where he produced an array of employment and wage data and reports. Chris enjoys spending time cheering on Denver’s sports teams and exploring Colorado’s beautiful outdoors with his wife and three young children.
