John Covert, Principal of Zonda Advisory

John Covert, principal of Zonda Advisory, launched the Colorado office in 2001 and has become a respected researcher and advisor for the home building industry with extensive experience in market strategy, feasibility studies and local economic trends.  He regularly meets and consults with many of the top companies in the industry and is a seasoned presenter and industry advocate.

Prior to joining Zonda, John was the research manager for the Denver and Salt Lake offices of The Meyers Group.  From 1996 to 1999, as staff associate of the Colorado Municipal League, John worked on behalf of Colorado’s cities in the areas of land use and telecommunications, as well as membership development and leadership training.  John also worked for the City of Arvada Planning Office and the Parks & Recreation Planning office of the City & County of Denver.

John has a Bachelor’s Degree in land use and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing and is active in industry events hosted by the various Homebuilder Associations in Colorado. John has served on the Board of Directors for the Homebuilders Association of Metro Denver from 2006 to 2014, currently sits on the HomeAid Colorado Board, is a committee member for the Colorado ULI Community Development Council, and member of the CSU Everitt Real Estate School Advisory Board.
