I-25 Corridor Development Projects – SOLD OUT

The growth of Northern Colorado rests on the I-25 corridor and the on-going development projects demonstrate the strength of the region. Join CREW Northern Colorado for a presentation by Sarah Crosthwaite, Economic Development Manager for the Town of Johnstown and Abby Kirkbride, General Manager of Centerra and Vice President of Community Development for McWhinney.

Sarah will be discussing the unprecedented growth Johnstown has experienced, including the Buc-ee’s Travel Center (its first location in Colorado) and Ledge Rock Center, which will feature over 750,000 SF of commercial space including anchor tenant, Woods Supermarket (another Colorado first). Abby will be covering the “hot off the press” Centerra South development which is a 148-acre development south of U.S. 34 in Loveland, which is anticipated to include a major grocer anchor tenant.

Sarah Crosthwaite | Economic Development Manager, Town of Johnstown

Sarah’s role as Economic Development Manager includes establishing and leading all economic development activity for the Town including business retention, expansion, and recruitment. Specific focuses include development of key corridors along I-25, Hwy-60, and Hwy-34 along with the revitalization and expansion of Historic Downtown Johnstown. She is the 2022 recipient of the Economic Development Council of Colorado “Rookie of the Year” award and has close to four years of experience working within the profession.

She is a California native and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a focus on local economic development from California State University of San Bernardino and is actively seeking to obtain her CEcD designation.

 

 

Abby Kirkbride | General Manager of Centerra and Vice President, Community Development, McWhinney

Abby oversees the strategy, vision and execution, as well as the development and management, of McWhinney’s 3,000-acre master-planned community, Centerra. Working closely with the master-planned communities team, she manages commercial land sales, land planning, community design, and government and community relations. Previously serving as both in-house and outside legal counsel to McWhinney, she has played a vital role in shaping and executing the vision of the community since 2019.

Prior to joining McWhinney, Abby was an associate at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, where she worked on complex real estate transactions and finance. Throughout her legal career, Abby has focused on land use planning and representation of public entities. She has also developed her own commercial properties in Denver.

Abby believes in McWhinney’s decades-long vision of creating great places. She appreciates and is proud of the significant contributions that Centerra has made within the City of Loveland and Northern Colorado. She has a deeply held belief in the power of community and values the opportunity to be a part of Centerra’s story.
